Available Locations: Austin, New York, Lisbon, London About the role We are seeking a Senior Engineering Director to lead a team of engineers within our Security Products Engineering group. This role will have a strong focus on delivering effective and reliable cybersecurity products and systems. This includes strategy, leadership, technical guidance and building engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have a deep technical background, proven leadership experience, and a passion for developing people and cultivating a strong engineering culture. This role reports to the VP of Engineering for Security Products and is expected to work with peers to drive results and improvement in alignment with the group’s strategy. Experience managing complex projects with external dependencies Results and metrics driven A strong attention to detail Great communication skills Experience hiring great engineers A kind and generous attitude towards customers and coworkers alike Ability to set technical direction and own decisions What you’ll do Lead multiple teams of engineers delivering customer facing products. Partner with Product Management to define and execute a strategy and achieve audacious goals. Lead and mentor engineering managers and engineers across the organization. Work with peers around the world to drive cross organizational projects and develop best practices. Foster a culture that is results oriented without sacrificing curiosity, kindness, and empathy for customers and co-workers alike. Define metrics that guide the engineering teams. Drive continuous improvement in your teams   Compensation Compensation may be adjusted depending on work location. For Austin based hires: Estimated annual salary of $300,000 - $380,000 For New York based hires: Estimated annual salary of $330,000 - $415,000  For Lisbon based hires: Estimated annual salary of €145,000 - €180,000 For London based hires: Estimated annual salary of £200,000 - £250,000 Equity This role is eligible to participate in Cloudflare’s equity plan.
