About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the role
Anthropic's Infrastructure organization builds and operates the compute that trains and serves our frontier models. Behind every cluster is a physical supply chain: servers, accelerators, networking equipment, spares, and tooling that have to be received, inspected, secured, tracked, and delivered to the right site at the right time. The Warehousing and Logistics team owns that flow, and this role runs its day-to-day operations outside North America as the operations expand to new geographies.
As Warehouse and Logistics Manager, you'll report to our Global Warehousing and Logistics Lead and own the operational management of all direct and third party logistics providers of inbound receiving, storage, inventory control, kitting, and outbound shipments to our data center sites and partners. You'll manage the relationships and performance of our third-party warehouses, carriers, and freight forwarders, and you'll be the person on the ground when a shipment is late, a pallet arrives damaged, or a site needs a critical spare tomorrow morning.
This is a hands-on operational role on a small team, so you'll move between running the daily floor rhythm and building the processes, controls, and metrics that let us scale as our hardware footprint grows. You should be comfortable making decisions with incomplete information, communicating clearly with engineers and vendors alike, and holding a high bar for accuracy and chain of custody on high-value, security-sensitive equipment.
Key responsibilities
Oversee the day-to-day warehouse operations across international locations through management of third party logistics providers, including receiving, inspection, put-away, storage, cycle counting, kitting, and outbound fulfillment to data center sites
Own inventory accuracy and asset tracking for all infrastructure hardware, compute, MEP, spares, and consumables, maintaining clear chain of custody from dock to rack
Plan and execute domestic freight and coordinate international shipments, selecting carriers, managing schedules, and resolving exceptions such as delays, damage, and shortages
Manage third-party logistics providers, carriers, and freight forwarders, including onboarding, service-level tracking, performance reviews, and cost management
Coordinate closely with data center operations, hardware engineering, procurement, and security teams to align delivery schedules with deployment timelines and site readiness
Operate reverse logistics for returns, RMAs, and end-of-life equipment, including secure handling and disposition of storage devices in partnership with security and compliance
Build and document standard operating procedures, checklists, and controls for warehouse and shipping activities, and train warehouse staff and vendors on them
Maintain compliance with safety, hazardous materials, export control, and customs requirements for the equipment we handle
Define and report on operational metrics such as receiving cycle time, inventory accuracy, on-time delivery, and freight cost, and use them to drive continuous improvement
Support capacity planning for warehouse space, staffing, and equipment as our hardware volumes and site count grow
Minimum qualifications
Experience managing warehouse or logistics operations for physical goods, including receiving, inventory control, and outbound shipping
Hands-on experience with a warehouse management or inventory management system, and comfort working in spreadsheets to analyze inventory and shipment data
Experience managing third-party logistics providers or carriers, including negotiating service levels and holding
