About Hiya At Hiya, we’re making business calls more trusted, useful, and effective. Voice remains one of the most important ways businesses communicate with their customers, but the value of a call depends on trust. When customers do not recognize who is calling or why, important conversations are missed, customer relationships suffer, and business outcomes are harder to achieve. Hiya helps businesses create trusted calling experiences that benefit both sides of the conversation: enterprises can reach customers with confidence, and customers can answer with confidence. Our products support branded business calling, trusted caller identity, call performance insights, customer engagement, and voice security capabilities that help businesses strengthen relationships and improve outcomes. This role sits in a core business area for Hiya and is focused on helping SMB and enterprise customers succeed. About the Role This role owns talent acquisition across EMEA end to end, covering GTM and Engineering hiring in the UK, Germany, France, Spain, Italy and the Nordics, with APAC to follow as we expand. It is the first permanent in-house recruiting hire in the region, replacing a contractor model that gave us capacity but no continuity. You will partner daily with hiring managers across EMEA, with HR Operations and onboarding in the US and Europe, and with EMEA sales and engineering leadership. We're excited about you because you're the kind of person who... gets energised rather than deterred by pitching a company nobody has heard of yet. You form a view, push back on a brief that will not work, and keep going when response rates are low, without needing a process to be finished before you can work inside it.   What You'll Do Own a portfolio of 8 to 12 live roles across EMEA end to end, spanning GTM (Account Directors, Account Executives, SDRs, Customer Success) and Engineering, from intake through to offer and handover. Run intake meetings that turn a vague hiring manager wish list into a defined, sourceable brief, and push back when the brief and the market do not match. Source directly and relentlessly. Most of our best hires will not apply to us, and there is no brand pull to fall back on. Build and hold the market maps, talent pools and competitor intelligence for the countries we hire in, so knowledge compounds inside Hiya rather than leaving with a contract. Pitch Hiya credibly to senior candidates in markets where we have no name recognition, and turn scepticism into genuine interest. Use AI tooling across the whole workflow, from sourcing and research through screening, outreach and reporting, and keep improving how you do it as the tools change. Partner with HR Operations and onboarding across the US and Europe, setting candidate expectations early on the realities of multi-country employment including EOR, so offers do not fall over at contract stage. What We Are Looking For 5+ years of in-house recruiting experience, with hands-on hiring across multiple EMEA countries rather than the UK alone. Agency background is welcome, but you must have owned processes in-house, and be ready to name the countries, the volume and what each market taught you. A genuine all-rounder: you have recruited both commercial and technical roles, and you can hold your own with an engineering hiring manager. A demonstrated track record of identifying and attracting senior talent in a competitive market for a company with no brand recognition. This is the single most important requirement and we will test it live. Proven ability to operate as a strategic advisor to hiring managers, including reframing or challenging a brief that will not work. Active, fluent use of AI tools in your day-to-day recruiting work, alongside a modern recruiting stack. You will be asked to demonstrate this live, using your own tools, during the process. Drive, resilience and real comfort with ambiguity. In practice: sustaining high-quality outbound when response
